  • Overview

    The Engineering Support team is a dynamic group encompassing all aspects of engineering services. Supporting leading edge technology in our mobile computers, handheld scanners, and other portable products by delivering best-in-class performance for the future of Zebra Technologies, Enterprise products.

    The candidate will be reporting directly to Engineering Design Management and is expected to exemplify a high degree of organization, motivation, technical and Analytical skills. 

    Responsibilities

    • Work with various functional Teams to collect required information to develop and maintain the ECAD library, which involves creation of schematic logic symbols, PCB footprints. 
    • Management of ECAD library Files/Databases.
    • Work with various functional Teams to develop and maintain procedures, specifications and process manuals.
    • Work with External Design resources to coordinate efforts, answer questions or resolve issues on PCB / PFC ECAD Library requirements.
    • Good communication skills and presentation abilities to provide written and verbal reports to management and multi-functional product development teams.
    • Maintain and improve skills by education courses, technical seminars, reading technical literature or journals, attending conferences, and by collaboration with other Design Team members.

    Qualifications

    • Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
    • Minimum 1+ years working knowledge of Cadence Concept (Schematic Capture), Allegro (PCB Board Design) and Librarian (Symbol Editor) preferred.
    • Minimum 1+ years of experience working with CAD libraries.
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel…
    • Experience with Agile and Web Based tools a plus.
    • Experience with PCB / PFC Design and Electronic Packaging.
    • IPC industry guidelines and standards relating to PCB / PFC inclusive of materials, design, fabrication, assembly, test, validation and qualification.
    • Interconnection solutions, suitable for electronic parts and mechanical design.
    • PCB / PFC fabrication and manufacturing techniques is a plus.
    • Strong mechanical background is a plus.
    • Experience in 3D modeling is a plus.
    • Basic drafting skills is a plus.
